Santa’s Beard Raises $1,222 for The Snowsuit Fund

The Ottawa Valley Special, The Elementals, The Amanda Bon Band and The Gerry Griffin Band provided a stellar evening of music. And thanks to the volunteers who make this event happen: Carol Noel, Elaine Gibson, Isabel Bouchard, Katherine Gunn, Heather Evenchick, Sharon Letovsky, Kate Morgan,

Saturday December 17 “Santa’s Beard” will support The Snowsuit Fund


What: The December version of Rasputin’s Beard, a fast-paced four band showcase.
When: 8-10pm Saturday, December 17
Where: Westboro Masonic Hall, 430 Churchill at Byron
Who: Ottawa Valley Special, The Elementals, Amanda Bon Band, and Gerry Griffin Band.

NO COVER!! Pass-the-hat/pay-what-you-can.

All net proceeds will go to The Snowsuit Fund. The Fund gratefully accepts donations of cash and knitted articles as well as gently used winter outerwear, hats, mitts and boots of all sizes. They endeavour to provide every eligible child with a brand new snowsuit. However, many of their clientele have older children in need of winter clothing, or the parents themselves are in need of a warm coat. Good quality used items can help bridge that gap.  Continue reading
