The 25th annual Great Canadian Song-Along is now peaking over the horizon. Over twenty-five years hundreds of new songs have been created by dozens of songwriters because of this annual event. It’s time to celebrate….by writing your best song ever.
Here’s how it works:
  • Write a NEW song inspired by one or more of the topics below, and,
  • Sign up to perform that song and one other song of your choice on the evening of your choice.

Once again Ottawa Writers’ Bloc has partnered with the Spirit of Rasputins Arts Society to present the 25th annual Great Canadian Song-Along at the Westboro Masonic Hall. The address is 430 Churchill Ave. (at Byron).

Performance dates are Friday April 7 and Saturday April 8, starting at 7:00 pm.
Now…here are the five topics for the 25th annual Great Canadian Song-Along
*  coffee to go
*   late night call
*  between the lines
*   James Bond
*   keep going
We hope you are inspired. If you would like to participate, write a NEW song on any of these topics, and then contact:
Greg Kelly at grgr2swtr@yahoo.ca (grgr2swtr null@null yahoo NULL.ca)  or Tony Turner at tony@tonyturner.ca (tony null@null tonyturner NULL.ca)
Make sure you tell us the night you would like to performFeel free to collaborate in songwriting and/or your performance. If the performer is someone other than the writer, that’s fine. Just let us know closer to the event.

That’s it. We hope you write your best song ever.
