James was born and raised in Renfrew On. and now resides just south of Ottawa in the quite village of Manotick On.

In 2012 James released his second full length album, “Until It Passes By”, which stirs dark imagery and powerful emotions delivered soulfully through James’ warm guitar and rhaspy vocals. Until It Passes By proves that James’ songwriting skills have solidified his place as a strong up and coming Canadian country/folk artist to keep an eye on.

Highway #9, by James Leclaire voted one of the top songs/bands in Ottawa in 2012: Enter stage left, the spirit of Steve Earle. The gravely voice, the porch-friendly beat — it makes you want to wheel the pickup out onto a hillbilly highway.” -Peter Simpson, Ottawa Citizen

Justin Morvay has been a fly on the wall of the Ottawa music scene, silently showing up on stage at venues ranging from “Oh So Good!” and the “Live Lounge”, to Walter Baker Park and Zaphods. He’s had the privilege of sharing the bill with some of Ottawa’s most influential musicians including Lukas Grant, Kevin Guerette, Amos the Transparent, Arms of the Girl, Open Sky, the Red Jets, Keek and many more. Currently, his writing dips its toes into pools of acoustic and pop music, drawing lyrics from his personal experiences. His most prized possessions are his songs and he’s honoured that he is able to share them with you at the Next Stage.”
