Singer-songwriter-guitarist North Easton (https://www NULL.northeaston NULL.ca/), a Rockland-based performer with an international reputation, is coming to Westboro Masonic Hall to give a solo concert on Saturday, February 10. It will be the first event of the year in our Featured Artists Series.
Easton delivers his evocative lyrics and melodies in a powerful vocal style. He regularly tours Canada, with many appearances at festivals and on television, and toured Australia last November. He launched his first solo album “One of the Lucky Ones” to an enthusiastic Ottawa audience in 2016.
You can check out his music and his thoughts about it here (https://www NULL.northeaston NULL.ca/).
As a songwriter North Easton has won competitions including the UK Songwriting Contest in 2016 with “What Are We Fighting For?” and the Indie International Songwriting Competition in 2016 with “Anyways”.
Fans have written to tell him how his songs have affected them and moved them to make changes in their own lives. “The new chapter is that I’m emerging, now, as more than a performer and storyteller,” he says. “The word I’ve heard now is ‘inspirationalist,’ if you will. At my show, it will make you cry, it will make you laugh and you might be slightly challenged. You will experience something emotionally, and that’s a powerful thing.”
In addition to his own writing and performing, North Easton is a committed supporter of the Ottawa songwriting community and of songwriting projects, helping and encouraging established and emerging artists with their music and careers.
